About

Curated by a practitioner, not an algorithm.

The Signal exists because HR leaders don't need more news. They need to know what the news means — from someone with no vendor to please.

The curator

Alex Rivera has spent 15 years inside enterprise HR technology — running migrations, rescuing broken implementations, and advising leadership teams on HR systems and AI strategy. That experience is the filter: every item in The Signal has been read, judged, and placed in context by someone who has sat on the buyer's side of the table.

The editorial promise

The method

The Signal tracks a wide range of primary and secondary sources across ten domains — vendor announcements, regulatory texts, analyst research, funding data, and practitioner communities. Items make the cut on three tests: Is it real (verifiable, sourced, not vendor theater)? Does it change a decision an HR leader has to make? Can we add judgment beyond restating it? Every briefing item links its sources, and every page shows when it was last updated.

Corrections

When we get something wrong, we say so — corrections run in the next briefing, and the page is fixed with a note. Spot an error? Tell us.

Walk into Monday already knowing.
